McVAY, Charles Sherman
16 July 1878 – 1 April 1880
“Groveland news” – Died on April 1st,
Charles Sherman McVay son of EV McVay aged two years. An appropriate funeral
sermon was preached on the 2d at Clear Creek Church by the Rev. Vandyne, pastor
of the CP Church and immediately after the remains of little Charlie were
interred in Clear Creek Cemetery. He was a bright and promising little child
maybe a kind heaven thought too much so to longer remain in this world of sin
and sorrow and thus early transplanted him to fairer regions beyond the dark
river.
